Alliance Pilot.

This was the first character built for the book series, back when I had no real idea of what it was going to be about. The first thing I thought of was this as a character that would fly the heroes around, whoever they were to be.

All through building, I had to plan in my head how the build would be illustrated and written about, so plenty of pictures and work out details later. This started as balsa as it is easy to carve to figure out shapes.

As I became confident with the design, I covered it with a more solid plastic and putty, then kit parts.

He is symmetrical so I build and moulded one of each piece to then cast out both sides of him.

Several versions were made in either airforce blue or army green. I really like the unusual design it turned out to be.
